Double bill of film dramas featuring an adaptation of Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet' and Emily Bronte's 'Wuthering Heights'. 'Romeo and Juliet' (1968) is Franco Zeffirelli's award-winning version of Shakespeare's romantic tragedy in which 17-year-old Leonard Whiting and 15-year-old Olivia Hussey play the title roles. The filming took place in Italy and features a well-known score by Nino Rota. In 'Wuthering Heights' (1992), Cathy Earnshaw (Juliette Binoche) and her adoptive brother Heathcliff (Ralph Fiennes) became inseparable as children, and now share a forbidden passion in adulthood. However, Heathcliff is cast down to the level of a servant by Cathy's vengeful brother, Hindley (Jeremy Northam), who resents the love their father showed for a man he regards as an infidel. When Cathy sets her cap at wealthy neighbour Edgar Linton (Simon Shephard), the enraged Heathcliff flees, vowing revenge.
