Struggling to provide for his ill daughter, retired US Marine Terry Savage (Gibson), a celebrated war hero, is arrested while robbing a known drug house. However, in exchange for his freedom, Terry is offered the chance to infiltrate a notorious prison and gather evidence of suspected human rights violations.
