Pierce Brosnan and Kaya Scodelario star in this fantasy adventure from director Sean McNamara. Marie-Josèphe (Scodelario) was born and raised in a convent in France. Now old enough to rebel against the Abbess, Marie-Josèphe is sent to live at the royal palace in Versailles, unbeknown to her that she is actually King Louis XIV (Brosnan)'s illegitimate daughter. While exploring the palace, Marie-Josèphe discovers that a mermaid is being held captive in a pool below the building. She learns of the mermaid's gift to heal any human body, she assumes that she is there to provide care for ill citizens, however she soon discovers the truth to be a much darker affair. The cast also includes Pablo Schreiber, Ben Lloyd-Hughes and William Hurt.
