The follow-up to the successful, light-hearted 'The Three Musketeers' of the previous year. Milady (Faye Dunaway) is determined to wreak revenge on the Three Musketeers for foiling her plot to discredit the Queen of France. She enrols two accomplices, Cardinal Richelieu and the Count of Rochefort, and the trio of swashbuckling heroes find themselves once again fighting for the good name of the Queen and the life of Constance. Filmed back-to-back with its predecessor, and followed by 'The Return of the Musketeers' in 1988.
