Psychological romantic drama. After her husband fatally drowns, Nikki Lostrom (Annette Bening) struggles to cope with the grief of her loss. Her neighbour Roger (Robin Williams) hopes he can be the one to fill the romantic void in Nikki's life, but to his dismay she already has her sights set on teacher and artist Tom (Ed Harris). Much to the shock of her daughter Summer (Jess Weixler), Nikki's new choice of partner looks exactly like her late husband.
