Disciple Thomas (Ricky Tognazzi) refuses to accept the account of Jesus's resurrection from Mary Magdalene (Maria Grazia Cucinotta), and sets out to find the corpse. After a series of setbacks and false hopes, he finally accepts the truth only when Jesus (Danny Quinn) appears before him and the rest of the disciples.
