Western directed by Joseph H. Lewis. Upon returning from the high seas to settle down on his family's prairie estate, mariner George Hanson (Sterling Hayden) discovers that his father has been slain by the evil Ed McNeil (Sebastian Cabot), who has also seized the land that is Hanson's by right. Although a peace-loving man, Hanson now sets out to gain his revenge, confronting a campaign of corruption and terror along the way.
