Alexandre Rockwell writes and directs this American indie drama. Teenager Billie (Lana Rockwell) acts as a protector for her young brother Nico (Nico Rockwell) during their volatile upbringing. When their alcoholic father, Adam (Will Patton), is arrested their mother, Eve (Karyn Parsons), moves the children in with her new partner, Beaux (M.L. Josepher). However, his predatory behaviour puts Billie on alert. Meanwhile, a friendship with Malik (Jabari Watkins) offers Billie and Nico some respite from their difficult domestic situation.
