Slovenian drama. The film follows a man who cares for his children in a dilapidated farmhouse situated in a barren landscape. His wife, and mother to the children, has recently been killed during a battle that continues to rage nearby which leaves the whole family in fear of another attack. However, when the travelling brigade of Circus Fantasticus pulls up beside the house with their bedridden director, the family grow to appreciate their presence and learn to live with their loss through their interactions with the performers.
