Advertising executive Nick Beam (Tim Robbins) receives a shock when he returns home early and thinks he sees his wife in bed with his boss. He drives away in a daze, and when criminal T. Paul (Martin Lawrence) attempts to car-jack him, Nick effectively kidnaps him. After the pair rob a gas station, Nick hits upon a plan for revenge on his boss.
