Feature version of the popular Japanese anime series. In the far future, one of Earth's seven space colonies wages a brutal war of liberation. To help their fight against the Earth, the colonists have developed the Gundam Mobile Suits, vast mechanical battle suits piloted by teenagers. Young Amuro Ray is recruited to pilot one of the Gundam suits and help lead the fight back against Earth. While the Federation ship White Base fights its way to Jaburo, one crew member must confront her past and defuse the turmoil that threatens to tear the ship apart.
