All 23 episodes of the ITV drama starring Christopher Blake and Muriel Odunton as a mixed-race couple whose relationship evokes disapproval from both their families. Thomas Simpson (Blake), a young engineer, and Susan Lambert (Odunton), a social worker, couldn't be happier with each other. Pleased with their engagement, they take each other to meet their families - which is where the problems start. Both sets of parents are uncomfortable with the relationship and insist that the marriage can't and won't work.
