Colleen (Sarah Jessica Parker) has had enough of her life with boyfriend Dick (Johnny Knoxville), so much so that she hires hitman Daniel (Harry Connick Jr) to get rid of him for her. But she then soon finds herself falling for Daniel, who confesses that his heart is not really in the murder business and that he'd much rather be a professional crooner. Colleen subsequently agrees to help manage Daniel's singing career, which leaves the two of them with one problem: what to do about Dick?
