Anne Parillaud stars as Marie, a modern-day vampire in this action comedy set in Pittsburgh. Marie has a taste only for the blood of bad guys, in particular Mafia boss Salvatore Macelli (Robert Loggia). However, when she gets her teeth into him, she fails to kill him and instead turns him into a vampire. Sal plans to transform his fellow hoods into vampires, thinking it would be good for business. Meanwhile, Marie is left to rue her error and joins up with Detective Joseph Gennaro (Anthony LaPaglia) to stop the mobster, but ends up falling for the cop.
