Ben Foster and Elle Fanning star in this American crime thriller based on Nic Pizzolatto's novel. In 1988 New Orleans, hitman Roy Cady (Foster) is diagnosed with lung cancer and then double-crossed by his mobster boss, who wants Roy out of the picture. As he flees back to his hometown of Galveston, Roy rescues a young escort, Rocky (Fanning), and takes her with him as he plots his revenge.
