In 'The Hills', 'Laguna Beach' star Lauren decides to make a change and move to Los Angeles to pursue her fashion career. After moving in with easily-influenced best friend Heidi Montag, she realises life in LA might not be quite as simple as the sun and sand of home. Soon, their relationship disintegrates as Heidi becomes closer to her domineering boyfriend Spencer Pratt, and Lauren has to make some difficult choices of her own. 'The City' follows 'Hills' star Whitney Port as she relocates to the East Coast in order to get ahead in the fashion world. After eventually finding a New York City residence, she has a series of run-ins with colleague and socialite, Olivia Palermo. Meanwhile, Whitney's relationship with boyfriend Jay Lyon seems to be going from bad to worse. Can Whitney rise above the drama and make something of herself?
