Federico Fellini's adaptation of Petronious' myth of Satyricon. In Rome, 500 BC, students Encolpio and Ascilto (Martin Potter and Hiram Keller) fall out over the ownership of a boy named Gitone (Max Born) and go their separate ways. Their individual adventures then include a battle with the Minotaur, imprisonment on a galley ship, and a drunken orgy before the students are eventually reunited.
