Comic book fan Quentin thinks his dreams have come true when he is injected with a special serum and begins to acquire superhuman abilities. The serum was produced by scientists experimenting with spiders, and Quentin now finds himself able to use special spider skills to fight crime and attract the attention of his dream girl. But when he starts sprouting spider body parts and falls prey to an unrelenting hunger, it becomes clear that Quentin's mutation has got out of control.
