Two films from Taiwanese-based film-maker Tsai Ming-Liang. The minimalist drama 'Days' (2020) follows the uneventful lives of two lonely men whose paths briefly intersect. Kang (Lee Kang-sheng) is middle class and lives alone while Non (Anong Houngheuangsy) has few possessions in his small apartment. When Kang travels into the city, he bonds fleetingly with Non as he receives a massage from the younger man, something which interrupts his usual solitude. The documentary 'Afternoon' (2015) captures a conversation between Tsai Ming-Liang and his muse Lee Kang-sheng, who has appeared in all of the director's films. They reflect on their lives and careers including their work together and their unique and enduring relationship.
