Made-for-TV adaptation of the classic fairy tale starring Lesley Ann Warren as the eponymous heroine. After her father is tragically killed, Cinderella is left living in the household of her evil Stepmother (Jo Van Fleet) and her two ugly stepsisters, Prunella and Esmerelda (Pat Carroll and Barbara Ruick). When Cinderella manages to escape her chores for one night to secretly attend a ball at the palace, she unintentionally catches the eye of the Prince (Stuart Damon), who makes it his mission to find out the identity of this beautiful girl. The cast also includes Ginger Rogers as the Queen, Walter Pidgeon as the King and Celeste Holm as the Fairy Godmother with music by Rodgers and Hammerstein.
