Chinese comedy drama written and directed by Song Chuan. The film follows Ciao Ciao (Xueqin Liang) as she returns home from Guangzhou to visit her parents in rural Yunnan. Back in the poverty-stricken mountain village, Ciao Ciao struggles to readjust to the locals' slow way of life and rejects her duty to help her ailing parents. To pass the time, she acquaints herself with the son of a bootlegger and a hairdresser, who vie for her attention, while longing to get back to the city.
