Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the season was suspended for three months and resumed in June with all matches played behind closed doors. Title winning captain Jordan Henderson was named as Football Writers' Player of the Year and manager Jürgen Klopp received the Premier League Manager of the Year award in a triumphant season for the Reds.
