Theo van Gogh directs this Dutch drama chronicling the attempts of a recently-bereaved couple to rebuild their shattered relationship following the death of their young daughter. The pair arrange to meet for a series of 'blind dates', placing personal ads in the paper and pretending to be strangers when they meet. By playing different roles each time they see each other, they are able gradually to reconnect and overcome their buried grief.
