Triple bill of US comedies. 'Stan Helsing' (2009) is a horror spoof about a descendant of the famous vampire hunter who discovers his true destiny one fateful Halloween night. Marooned in the appropriately named 'Stormy Night Estates' with his friends on Halloween, video store clerk Stan Helsing (Steve Howey) comes face to face with almost exact facsimiles of the horror world's most famous monsters, including Needlehead (Charles Zuckermann), Fweddy (Ben Cotton), Pleatherface (Twan Holliday), and Michael Criers (Lee Tichon). Relieved to discover that he's a direct descendant of the world's most famous stake-wielder, Stan, along with his friends, sets forth to do battle with the parody horror icons. 'Big Fat Important Movie' (2008) is a right-wing spoof of 'A Christmas Carol' from the 'Airplane' stable, parodying a Michael Moore figure who wants to ban July 4th celebrations. Disillusioned documentary maker Michael Malone (Kevin P. Farley) has lost his faith in his country. As his nephew Josh (Travis Schuldt) prepares to leave for the Middle East, Malone refuses to celebrate, having recently launched a campaign to ban the festivities. That night, he is visited by the ghosts of George Washington (Jon Voight), General George Patton (Kelsey Grammer), and the Angel of Death (Trace Adkins), all intent on showing him the error of his ways, by putting some patriotic fervour back into his step. 'The Slammin' Salmon' (2009) is penned by the Broken Lizard writing team. Slammin' Cleon Salmon (Michael Clarke Duncan), former Heavyweight Champion of the World turned restaurateur, owes $20,000 to a Japanese gang. To raise the money, he challenges his waiting staff (played by the Broken Lizard Comedy Troupe, Cobie Smulders and April Bowlby) to a contest in which the top-selling waiter will win $10,000, while the waiter in last place gets a punch in the ribs from the Champ himself.
