Derek Jacobi and Anne Reid star in this BBC drama as an aging man and woman who rediscover the feelings they once had for each other. Widowed 70-somethings Alan Buttershaw (Jacobi) and Celia Dawson (Reid) become reacquainted after their respective grandsons create Facebook accounts for them. 60 years previously, during their teenage years, the two fell in love and, despite having since gone their separate ways in life, they find their feelings are as strong as ever. However, Alan's daughter, Gillian (Nicola Walker), and Celia's daughter, Caroline (Sarah Lancashire), are nothing alike and both are dealing with their own issues which proves problematic for their parents' rekindled romance.
